On March 19,2018,jointly initiated by China Society of Automotive Engineering,China Association of Automobile Manufacturers and China Intelligent Connected Automobile Industry Innovation Alliance, prepared to build China Intelligent and Connected Vehicles(Beijing)Research Institute Co.,Ltd. . (hereinafter referred to as "Guoqi Zhilian" / CICV).The 23 shareholders are all leading enterprises and domestic and research institutions in the fields of vehicles、 parts、information and communication.

In May 2019, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology officially approved the establishment of the National Innovation Center of Intelligent and Connected Vehicles(referred to as CICV Innovation Center ) by China Intelligent and Connected Vehicles(Beijing)Research Institute Co.,Ltd.

Give full play to the role of the CICV , serve as the core think tank of the national innovation strategy, break through key common technologies, build an innovation service platform, create an innovation ecosystem, cultivate high-end professional talents, continue to lead industry development, build new infrastructure, and enhance the position of China's intelligent and connected vehicles and related industries in the global value chain.

In order to promote the development of China's intelligent and connected automobile industry and technology, on June 12,2017，China Society of Automotive Engineers and China Association of Automobile Manufacturers established the "China Industry Innovation Alliance for the Intelligent and Connected Vehicles" (CAICV Alliance) with the support of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology. The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology serves as the guiding unit of the alliance, and Minister Miao Wei and Vice Minister Xin Guobin respectively serve as the director and deputy director of the steering committee of the alliance.

CAICV Alliance is a consortium voluntarily formed by domestic enterprises,universities,research institutions and industry organizations,including hundreds of cross-industry members such as automobile,transportation and communications.In accordance with the agreed working mechanism,the Alliance has carried out its work in policy and strategic research、key generic technology research and development、standards and regulations、testing and demonstration、 industrialization promotion、academic exchange and international cooperation、talent training and other aspects, and has become an important platform for promoting the development of the intelligent and connected automobile industry in China.
